Some 45 years ago I was asked at school what I wanted to be. My reply was  "a sports photographer".
I had 2 weeks works experience as a photographer with The Hackney Gazette. There was no sport.
I have experience of commercial photography and working in professional black & white and colour darkrooms. Thankfully now post-processing is done with the lights on sitting at my Mac. I use Lightroom & Photoshop at the centre of my processing. I still enjoy printing images with my own Canon printer on fine art paper, especially the many Fotospeed papers.
I did achieve my teenage ambition of being a sports photographer, I was Chelmsford City FC's official photographer for 3 years and have had the opportunity to photograph at Premier League grounds and Wembley Stadium. I am now fortunate to get to photograph what I want, when I want.
I am honoured to have been awarded the Licentiate distinction by the Royal Photographic Society for my photography.
